We advocate the planting of native oaks trees that are found historically in our area. These species include the deciduous Valley Oak (Quercus lobata) and the evergreen Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia). We have organized the planting of oaks in small groves throughout Stockton and have grown hundreds of Oaks from acorns for distribution to local homeowners, schools, and parks. We also financed the purchase of the oaks that form the groves on the east end of the Stockton's crosstown freeway.
